We feel that it is prudent to alert to any failure events recorded in the backup, even if a success event is discovered, as this error may be an indication of a larger problem with the backup or the device.

Unsupported products

If your backup product is not supported, you can monitor its status using one of these methods:

  • Event Log Check: Use this option if the backup product writes status information to the Windows Event Log.
  • Script Check: Create a script and add it as a Script Check if the backup product writes its completion status to another location, such as a native log file.
