Veeam Backup & Replication
The Veeam Backup & Replication Check queries the Veeam Backup Windows Event Log on the local device to determine the status of any backup jobs that completed in the preceding 24 hour period.
The Events are filtered by ID (0), Source (Veeam Backup), with the Event Type indicating the job state: Information (success), Warning (complete with exceptions) and Error (failure). Details of the job are then extracted from the Event Description for any discovered Events that match these criteria and reported in the "Extra" column against the Check.
The Backup Check passes where the specified number of "Success" or "Complete with exceptions" (where "Show 'complete with exceptions' as successful" is configured) messages are discovered.
Since the Backup Checks poll the device for the backup results, the results in N-sight RMM are those reported by the Backup software being monitored. If the reported result is Completed with Errors, Completed with Warnings, or a similar response, we recommend you investigate the device the problem and ensure the Backup software can backup the expected data sets.
