Direct device support
Direct device support provides help desk services without interrupting the user’s workstation. It includes tools that let you troubleshoot and resolve issues without taking full remote control.
These tools connect directly to the device, allowing you to view its status and make changes transparently to the end user. You’ll find the direct support tools in the Tools tab for each device in N-central.
Enable Direct Support
-
Go to Views > All Devices and click the Network Devices tab.
- Select the device Name.
- Go to Settings > Properties.
-
Select Enable Direct Support.
-
Choose Save.
When in a Direct Support table view, for example Applications, select the column options button (three vertical lines) at the far right of the column titles to customize the displayed columns.
