March 2021

August 20th 2019

  • Scan name process improved - When creating a new scan configuration, you are now prevented from using a name which is already in use.

August 1st 2019

  • New RIlauncher.exe - The new RIlauncher.exe (which you install on your devices to run scans) replaces iscanruntime.exe and is now available from the Windows CLI, Active Directory and N-central scan delivery methods. This new exe ensures that the up-to-date executable is launched every time a scan is run. Problems previously encountered as a result of certificate changes, for example, are no longer an issue. See Choosing a Scan Delivery Method.

July 2nd 2019

  • Reports are now restricted to pull in data only from applicable scans - This improvement clarifies any confusion over what data is being displayed to the user each time a report is run. For example, the Expanded Data Beach Risk report only pulls data from the Expanded Data Breach Risk scan and no other scans. See Report Types for a list of the report types available and the scanned data which is pulled into each.
  • Improved CSV file attachment to emailed reports - For improved operation, the system now attaches CSV files to emailed reports based on the size of the file:
    • 0-5MB - the file is attached to the email
    • 5MB+ - the file is zipped and attached to the email
    • If zipped file is larger than 10MB+, a link to the CSV file is added to the email.

    See Create New Report.

December 11th 2018

  • Scan Timeout value to define when scan timeout should occur - A new scan timeout value in the Scan Options page in the Scan Configuration wizard allows you to define the maximum amount of seconds the scan will run before it times out. See the Maximum number of seconds for scan to run field in Create Custom Scan Configuration.

November 13th 2018

  • Improved Report Category selection in Create Report Wizard - The number of report categories available in the Create Report wizard is reduced to two: Security and Data Breach Reports and License reports. This is to reduce clutter and simplify the report creation process. See Create New Report.

October 30th 2018

  • Edit Scan Configuration Process Improved - When editing an existing scan configuration, you can no longer change the scan type in Step 1- Select Scan Type. The edit wizard begins at Step 2. See Edit Scan Configuration.
  • Renewals, Domains and Resources sections removed - The removal of the Domains section means that you can now delete sub-organizations directly without having to go to the Domains page. The Resources section previously contained links to the various user guides, the Software Services Agreement and the Security and Privacy Guide. These are now all available from the Support Portal which can be accessed by clicking the help icon in the Platform Bar. See Application Overview.

October 2018

September 2018

  • Organization/Domain context link moved to Navigation Panel - The link displaying the organization/domain in focus, which when clicked allows you to change the context, now sits at the bottom of the Navigation Panel instead of the Platform Bar - See Application Overview.

June 2018

  • New read-only user role - You can now apply the new read-only user role to your account users. See User Roles.

May 2018

  • New Expanded Data Breach Risk Scan (ExDBRS) available - Developed for MSPs and their customers, this report adds a new component to the original Data Breach Risk Scan which tests for 18 baseline Windows end-point configurations. See Scan Types and also Run Expanded Data Breach Risk Scan from the CLI.

April 2018

  • All analytic reports now show a rolling 1-year time period. This reduces the volume and improves the focus of scan data added to the reports.
