App management
Device Management for Apple enables you to manage and distribute apps purchased for your customers through Apple Business Manager. App management uses Apple content tokens. A content token is a mechanism for managing volume-purchased licenses within an organization for apps and content purchased through Apple Business Manager. Each customer requires a content token.
Before you can manage and distribute apps, you must:
- Ensure your customer has an Apple Business Manager account and has purchased at least one app using it.
- Sign into N-sight RMM with a user role that includes the Apps & Books permission.
- Ensure customer devices are enrolled in Device Management for Apple.
- Add a content token in Device Management for Apple for the customer.
We recommend you set your Apple devices to automatically install App Store app updates using Configuration profiles.
After a customer content token is added to Device Management for Apple, you can:
