Software License Groups and Banned Software

Using the Asset Tracking Dashboard, you can organize software into Software License Groups that you can assign to Clients.

Software License Groups help you manage software installations for your clients:

• Set license limits: Configure the maximum number of installed copies allowed for a software program based on the client’s license count.
• Ban unauthorized software: Set the number of allowed installations to zero to prevent use of unlicensed software.

Asset Tracking queries the device and reports back the installed software to N-sight RMM. However, there may be instances when you don't want specific software to appear on the All Devices view or in Reports. For these cases, you can add the software program to the Client-wide software exclusion list for your N-sight RMM.
