Software License Groups and Banned Software

Using the Asset Tracking Dashboard, you can organize software into Software License Groups that you can assign to Clients.

Software License Groups enable you to:

• Configure the maximum number of installed copies your Client can have for a software program based on their number of licenses
• Ban an unauthorized software program by configuring the number of installed copies to zero

Asset Tracking queries the device and reports back the installed software to the Dashboard. However, there may be instances when you do not want specific software to appear on the Dashboard or in Reports. For these cases, you can add the software program to the Client-wide software exclusion list for your Dashboard.
