Detect banned software

After you add a Software License Group, you can enter zero as the maximum number of licenses held by a Client for the software in the All Devices view. By setting the count to zero, you can detect and subsequently highlight where banned software is discovered on the Client's devices.

When the number of installed instances of a software exceeds the entered license count threshold for the Client, a red exclamation box displays against the Software License Group for the Client on the Software License Check Report .

To enter zero for the software license count and detect banned software for a Client:

  1. On the All Devices view, right-click the Client in the Client list and select Edit Client
  2. Select Software License Setup
  3. Tick the box for the target Software License Group(s) and enter a license Count of zero
  4. Click OK to apply
