Advanced Edition Features (Windows and Mac)

The Advanced Edition of Remote Background Manager includes the following features:

• System Shell
• File Transfer
• System Info (Processes and Services)
• Remote Registry (Windows only)

Remote Background Manager Advanced utilizes the Take Control (N-able) module. This results in the Take Control (N-able) Windows Service running on Remote Background Manager Advanced devices.

Take Control Viewer module 7.00.08 introduced support for N-ablePassportal. When installed on a device providing assistance and the technician has a Passportal account, they can retrieve endpoint credentials and log in at the start of the session.

If a Remote Background Manager Advanced device is inactive or offline for more than 90 days, N-sight RMM automatically reinstalls the Remote Background Manager Advanced Agent to ensure it uses the latest version. During reinstallation, Remote Background Manager Advanced connections to the device may be temporarily unavailable.
