Advanced Edition Features (Windows and Mac)

The Advanced Edition of Remote Background Manager includes the following features

• System Shell
• File Transfer
• System Info
  • Process
  • Services
• Remote Registry (Windows only)

Remote Background Manager Advance utilizes the Take Control (N-able) module. This results in the Take Control (N-able) Windows Service running on Remote Background Manager Advance devices, even when they do not have Take Control enabled.

Take Control Viewer module 7.00.08 introduced support for the Passportal. When this version is installed on a device providing assistance and the technician has a Passportal account, they can retrieve the correct password for the endpoint and log in at the start of the session.

If a Remote Background Manager Advanced device is inactive or offline for more than 90 days, N-sight RMM automatically reinstalls the Remote Background Manager Advanced Agent to ensure it uses the latest version. During reinstallation, Remote Background Manager Advanced connections to the device may be temporarily unavailable.
