Advanced Edition Features (Windows and Mac)

The Advanced Edition of Remote Background Management includes the following features

• System Shell
• File Transfer
• System Info
  • Process
  • Services
• Remote Registry (Windows only)

Remote Background Management Advance utilizes the Take Control (N-able) module. This results in the Take Control (N-able) Windows Service running on Remote Background Management Advance devices, even when they do not have Take Control enabled.

Take Control Viewer module 7.00.08 introduced support for the Passportal. When this version is installed on a device providing assistance and the technician has a Passportal account, they can retrieve the correct password for the endpoint and log in at the start of the session.

If a Remote Background Management Advanced integrated device remains inactive or offline for over 90 days, N-sight RMM will automatically reinstall the Remote Background Management Advanced Agent to ensure it is using the latest version. Please be aware that Remote Background Management Advanced connections to the device may experience temporary unavailability while the Agent is reinstalled.
