Chat with customers during a remote session
Perform the following steps to chat with a customer during a remote session:
- Select the Chat Icon from the top right menu bar of the Technician Console to open the Chat Window
- Type your message in the Chat area and press Enter to send.
The chat conversation stays open in a new window when navigating away from the general tab. This allows the technician to chat with the customer during the course of the session without navigating between tabs.
If the user receives a message that the technician is not available to chat, click the chat link in the Technician console and click the technician's name to change the User or Technician chat status.
