Run checks on devices now

You can immediately run all checks for one or more devices from the All Devices view, or you can immediately run specific checks for a device.

The Agent uses a Persistent Outbound Connection mechanism to perform actions in near real-time from the All Devices view.

If there are pending actions for a device, the Run Checks option is disabled for that device. To enable the option, you can wait for the pending actions to run, or you can cancel the Manage Pending Actions.

Run all checks on one or more devices

  1. On the All Devices view, go to Servers, Workstations or Mixed on the North-pane
  2. Select one device or multiple device(s):
    ChoiceAction

    1. Right-click the device and select Run Checks
    2. Click OK to confirm
    Multiple devices
    1. Multi-select the devices (Shift and left-click for a range, Control and left-click for specific devices)
    2. Right-click one of the selected items and select Run Checks
    3. Review the list of devices. You can clear the checkbox for a device if you don't want to Run Checks on it. The column, Able to create action?, indicates devices where the action is unavailable. For example, Already has an action of this type.

    4. Click Run
    5. Click OK to confirm

Run specific checks on one device

  1. On the All Devices view, go to Servers, Workstations or Mixed on the North-pane
  2. Select the device
  3. In the South-pane, go to the Checks tab
  4. Multi-select the target checks (Shift and left-click for a range, Control and left-click for specific checks)
  5. Right-click one of the selected items and select Run Checks
  6. Click OK to confirm

Cancel a Run Checks action

Until Run Check actions are issued to the device, you can cancel the action using the All Devices view.

To cancel a Run Checks action on a single device:

  1. On the All Devices view, go to Servers, Workstations or Mixed on the North-pane
  2. Right-click the device and select Pending <device-type> Actions
  3. Select the target action(s)
  4. Click Cancel Action(s)
  5. Enter the password you used to sign into N-sight RMM
  6. Click OK to confirm
  7. Click Close

To cancel a Run Checks action on a multiple devices:

  1. On the All Devices view, go to View > Pending Actions
  2. Select the target devices and actions
  3. Click Cancel Action(s)
  4. Enter the password you used to sign into N-sight RMM
  5. Click OK to confirm
  6. Click Close
