Managed Antivirus URLs

Managed Antivirus regularly communicates with N-sight RMM and definition servers to:

  • Retrieve updated Protection Policies
  • Upload scan results
  • Receive commands (Run Scan etc.)
  • Download the latest definition update files

For Windows, communication problems result in a File not found message displayed in the Managed Antivirus Check, indicating either the Protection Policy or definition files were not downloaded.

To ensure communication with the Dashboard and servers, we suggest allowing the following Managed Antivirus and definition download URLs over HTTP and HTTPS.

To simplify firewall configuration and minimize the impact of future URL changes, we suggest whitelisting the following domains:

*.cdn-sw.net
*.bitdefender.net
*.bitdefender.com
*.v1.bdnsrt.org
If unsure of your dashboard accounts territory;
  • Look at the URL used to access your Dashboard as this may include a region reference, or
  • If the URL does not mention a region, for example a custom domain, attempt to login to one of the above URLs, or
  • Where problems are still experienced determining the region from a custom Dashboard URL. Open a command prompt or terminal on the device. Then perform an nslookup on the custom Dashboard URL:

nslookup dashboard.custom.domain

...

Non-authoritative answer:
Name: dashboard.systemmonitor.co.uk
