Add an iOS mobile device

To enroll an iOS mobile device in Device Management for Apple, you must first add the mobile device to N-sight RMM.

To add an iOS mobile device to N-sight RMM:

  1. On the N-sight RMM Dashboard North-pane Mobile Devices tab, select Add Mobile Device.
  2. In the Single Device tab, enter the Configuration data for the mobile device and click OK.

    The mobile device is added, and an enrollment request is sent to the device holder. The enrollment request can be a Mobile Device Provisioning email or text that contains the information to register.

When the device holder receives the enrollment request on their mobile device, they follow the instructions to register the device and download Apple iOS Mobile Device Management.

Field Description
Client Client to associate with the device
Site Site to associate with the device
Device Name Name of the device for identification in N-sight RMM
Holder’s Name First and Last name of the device holder
Email Address Email address that is accessible from the device to receive the enrollment request as Mobile Device Provisioning email
Phone Number Phone number of the device to receive the enrollment request as Mobile Device Provisioning SMS message if configured (optional)

You must replace the leading 0 in the Phone number with the country code for all countries.

Send SMS Sends an SMS message to the configured phone number with the provisioning information
BYOD Indicates if the device is employee owned and the relevant BYOD policy must be used
