Physical Disk Health Check

The Physical Disk Health Check uses WMI to determine if any SMART (Self-Monitoring, Analysis and Reporting Technology) disks are reporting errors to the Operating System, and it generates a failure if any disks are not OK.

If you experience problems with this check, consult the drive manufacturer to ensure the disk supports SMART capabilities.

Since Microsoft views RAID configurations as virtual rather than physical drives and does not report information for all disks, we recommend you use the SNMP Check to query the health status of the RAID controller.
