Configure checks using the Windows Agent

You can add, edit and delete checks in the Windows Agent. However, doing so means any changes or additions apply only to the device the Agent is installed on, therefore we recommended you configure checks using the All Devices view.

These instructions cover the general check configuration process.

  1. Log into the device.
  2. Open the Agent (search for Advanced Monitoring Agent or go to Start > All Programs > Advanced Monitoring Agent).
  3. Enter your N-sight user credentials.
  4. SelectOK to login.

    5. The Agent validates the entered user credentials with N-sight RMM. If the device does not have internet access, use the credentials of the user who installed the Agent to login.

  5. Select Settings.
  6. Go to the 24x7 Checks or Daily Safety Check sections.
  7. Configure Checks.
  8. Select the required Check.
  9. Choose an action: Add, Edit or Delete.
  10. OK out of the Agent once complete to save changes.

When you add or edit a check, use Test Check to verify the settings and return the results locally. This uses the legacy Check processor. Running the check test from the N-sight dashboard All Devices view uses a newer, improved Check processor, therefore results may differ.
