Install N-able Backup manually on a device

Install N-able Backup to devices to provide cloud backup and restore capabilities for your customers. Install N-able Backup manually on devices when managing a small number of devices.

To install N-able Backup on many devices, see Install N-able Backup manually on multiple devices.

If you have a large customer or a larger quantity of devices, use backup rules to install Backup Manager across a site.

1. In the Backup Dashboard list, click All Devices.
2. Click the name of the device that you want to edit.
3. Switch to the Settings tab > Backup section.
4. Click Enable N-able Backup.
5. Review the licensing information and click I Agree.
6. Select when to install N-able Backup on the device and select a Configuration Profile.
7. To configure the device to back up specific files, click Set Settings Manually.
8. Click Save.

Once installed, N-able Backup begins regular backup jobs based on the profile you selected during the deployment.
