This is a generic Bitdefender error.  Please try uninstalling then reinstalling Managed Antivirus.

112 = ERROR_DISK_FULL = 112, // There isn't enough space on the disk for the product to be installed

Free up disk space on the device then try to redeploy Managed Antivirus.

ERROR SUMMARY

183 = ERROR_ALREADY_EXISTS = 183, // Installer.exe is already running or the product has already been installed. This code is also returned when an older version of the product is run over a newer version.

ERROR INSTRUCTIONS

Run the Bitdefender Managed Antivirus Removal Tool in Safe Mode and try to redeploy Managed Antivirus.

1151 = ERROR_APP_WRONG_OS = 1151, // Unsupported operating system.

ERROR INSTRUCTIONS

This error usually occurs where the Operating System is not supported, or it does not have the latest Windows updates installed. Please ensure the device is running a supported and updated version of Windows.

This error is normally returned when another full version of Bitdefender is installed on the device. Please run the Bitdefender uninstall tool, reboot the device then retry installing Managed Antivirus.

1314 = ERROR_PRIVILEGE_NOT_HELD = 1314, // The installer was run under a user with insufficient privileges.

ERROR INSTRUCTIONS

Ensure the Managed Antivirus Master service is running as SYSTEM in the Services Console (services.msc). Uninstall then reinstall Managed Antivirus.

Check the device is not in Safe Mode when attempting to install Managed Antivirus.

1613 = ERROR_INSTALL_PACKAGE_VERSION = 1613, // Wrong Windows Installer version installed on the machine.

ERROR INSTRUCTIONS

Ensure all Windows updates are applied, and the latest version of Windows installer is on the device and active.  Please be aware that company GPO policies may be in place that leave portions of the Windows Installer disabled.

ERROR SUMMARY

1618 = ERROR_INSTALL_ALREADY_RUNNING = 1618, // Another installation is in progress.

ERROR INSTRUCTIONS

An .msi may be in the process of installing another program. Please wait for this installation to finish. If no installations are currently running, reboot the device and the program should attempt to automatically install again.

This is a general error.  Please attempt to clean-up the machine, removing any traces of Bitdefender from the registry and temp directories. Run the Uninstall tool in safe mode.

ERROR SUMMARY

2250 = ERROR_NOT_CONNECTED

ERROR INSTRUCTIONS

The Bitdefender security service (EPSecurityService) was not running on the computer when sending the request. Possible causes:


·         A product update restarted the service

·         Windows shutdown, or was in the process of shutting down

·         EPSecurityService crashed. If the service crashes more than 3 to 6 times in a short period of time, it stays down for one-hour before trying to start again.


Rebooting the device may alleviate this issue. To reboot the device from the Dashboard north pane: right-click on the Device (or from the Server or Workstation drop-down) > Reboot > Now or Later. 3010

ERROR SUMMARY

3010 = ERROR_SUCCESS_REBOOT_REQUIRED = 3010, // Error code returned when installer runs silent and it needs reboot to finish its maintenance process. Cases when installer might ask for a reboot: when removing 3rd party AV products, after scan before install, after a repair/modify/uninstall operation.

ERROR INSTRUCTIONS

A reboot might help in this case, although the program should have already tried it.  Please try running the Bitdefender uninstaller, search the registry for any remaining traces of Bitdefender and remove.  Reboot the machine and perform a reinstall.

ERROR SUMMARY

3017 = ERROR_FAIL_REBOOT_REQUIRED = 3017, // A restart action is pending as a result of another maintenance (install, repair, modify, uninstall) operation that required restart in order to finish correctly. The error code indicates that the current maintenance operation cannot continue until restart is performed. Another case when this code is returned is when the repair or uninstall fails and will try again after a reboot.

ERROR INSTRUCTIONS

This error is similar to error code 3010.  A reboot of the machine may help, although we have tried to reboot once before presenting this message. Uninstall Managed Antivirus and reinstall if problems persist.

17000 = Engine returned a success code but we couldn't connect to the Bitdefender COM Object.

ERROR INSTRUCTIONS

Ensure the client is installing with an administrator account and that the credentials used for installation are part of the following group:

 

Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Local Security Policy > Local Policies > User Rights Assignment > Load and unload device drivers

 
If this does not resolve the issue, please run the Bitdefender Managed Antivirus Removal Tool
in Safe Mode and try to redeploy.

ERROR SUMMARY

18000 = Unknown

ERROR INSTRUCTIONS

This error should only be seen on older agents when there is a problem with the device upgrading to a recent version of Managed Antivirus.  Uninstalling then reinstalling Managed Antivirus should alleviate the problem.
