System State

To offer an enhanced solution, standalone Cove Data Protection (Cove) replaced Backup & Recovery. Where Backup & Recovery has been enabled and continues to be so for devices, the options presented here are still available.

If Backup & Recovery options are not present in your N-sight RMM, you need to use Cove.

To start a 30-day free trial of Cove, click the app switcher in the Product bar, and select Cove Data Protection (Cove).

Enable System State to back up the configuration of your operating system and critical system components such as:

  • Registry
  • Boot files
  • SYSVOL directory
  • Active Directory
To enable System State and configure its schedule:
  1. On the All Devices view, go to Settings > Backup & Recovery > Settings
  2. Select the target entities from the Entity list of servers and workstations
  3. Ensure Setting: is set to On
  4. Tick the Enabled check box in the System state schedule section

  5. Select the days to run and the time of day to run the system state

    The Backup schedule refers to when the backup will run based on the local time of the computer where the Agent is installed.

  6. Click OK to save and apply
