Renew an ABM server token

The ABM server token is Apple's Device Management Service Token. The MDM server is a Device Management Service.

Renew ABM server tokens annually to maintain the connection between your customer’s Apple Business Manager (ABM) account and Device Management for Apple in N-sight RMM.

Requirements

  • To renew an ABM server token, you need access to the MDM server associated with the original token.

  • If you no longer have access to the original MDM server, you can create a new token for a different one. In that case:
    1. Move all devices from the old MDM server to the new server.
    2. Use the DMA command, to remotely wipe the devices.
    3. After wiping, the devices will auto-enroll into ABM using the new token associated with the new MDM server.
  • Ensure the Apple Push Notification Service (APNS) certificate is active. Renew the APNS certificate if needed.
