Physical Disk Health Check

Where supported on the workstation, this Check determines whether any SMART (Self-Monitoring, Analysis and Reporting Technology) disks are reporting errors to the Operating System and generates an Alert where the status is recorded as anything other than OK. This Check is simply enabled or disabled for all supported disks on the workstation.

Where a Check is added or edited the new settings are downloaded to the Agent the next time it communicates back to the Dashboard and applied when the Check runs after that.

Dashboard Check configuration

Add

  1. Select the workstation in the Dashboard North-pane
  2. Click Add Check > Add DSC Check Physical Disk Health Check 
  3. Click OK to save and apply

Edit

  1. Select the workstation in the North-pane of the Dashboard
  2. Go to the Checks tab
  3. Select the target Physical Disk Health Check
  4. From the Check drop-down
  5. Edit Check (also available from the Check's right-click menu)
  6. Configure the Assign a Task after editing the Check option
  7. OK to save and apply

Delete

  1. Select the workstation in the North-pane of the Dashboard
  2. Go to the Checks tab
  3. Select the target Physical Disk Health Check
  4. From the Check drop-down
  5. Delete Check (also available from the Check's right-click menu)
  6. Enter the password you have logged into the Dashboard under to confirm removal
  7. OK to delete
