Tag details and settings

The Tag Management table displays high-level data for all tags in your environment. When you select a tag, the tag details overlay opens and shows the tag's summary and configured settings.

Permissions

To view tag details, your role must include the Ecoverse Tag Management View definitions permission.

If you don't have this permission, you can still view tags assigned to your assets in the Assets view.

Tag details overlay

The tag details overlay organizes information into the following tabs:

Summary

Shows an overview of the tag, including:

• Properties

  Displays high-level tag information such as tag type, description, creation date, last modified date, last modified by, and access level.

• Assets

  Lists assets currently assigned to the tag, including details such as OS name, customer, and site.

  Tags are assigned dynamically, so the number of assets may change.

  To see all assets that match the tag filters, go to Filters under the Settings tab.

Settings

Shows configuration details for the tag:

• Details

  Includes tag name, description, resource type, and category.

• Tag access

  Lists which organization, customer, or site can use the tag.

• Filters (Dynamic tags only)

  Displays assets that match the current tag filters. When filters change, assets that match the new criteria automatically receive the tag.

  Compare the asset count here with the count in Properties under the Summary tab to confirm dynamic tagging is complete.
