Configure email forwarding for a mailbox
Configure email forwarding for emails sent to an Exchange Online mailbox to another user's mailbox or a distribution list.
Requirements
- You must be assigned the Microsoft Exchange Online Writer role scoped to the tenants you want to manage.
Configure email forwarding for a mailbox
- In the , select Solutions > Exchange Online.
- If not already selected, use the global customer selector - Customers drop-down menu to select the customers you want to view data for.
- Select the checkbox for the mailbox you want to forward email for and select Turn on forwarding.
- Select a mailbox or distribution list to be the forwarding recipient and select Next.
- Configure the forwarding setting. Select the checkbox if you want to deliver the message to both the forwarding address and mailbox.
- Select Next.
- When prompted, review the summary of your request, and confirm.
