Delete a shared mailbox

Requirements

  • You must have Microsoft Exchange Online PowerShell access for the customer tenant. See Exchange Online: Manage mailboxes.
  • You must be assigned the Microsoft Exchange Online Writer role scoped to the customers you want to manage.

Delete a shared mailbox

  1. On the left navigation, select Solutions > Exchange Online.
  2. If not already selected, use the global customer selector - Customers drop-down menu to select the customers you want to view data for.
  3. Select the checkbox for the shared mailbox you want to delete and select Delete shared mailbox.

  4. When prompted, review the summary of your request, and confirm.
