Multi-factor authentication deployment checklist

Deploying multi-factor authentication across a group of devices in N-able N-central requires preparation and performing steps in the correct order, to ensure configuration is completed correctly. Follow the steps listed in the checklist below in order.

For multi-factor authentication to function properly, ensure that the N-able N-central time is very accurate for your local time zone. For more information, see Configure N-able - N-central server date and time.

	Step 1 – Enable multi-factor authentication
	Step 2 – Login to N-able N-central and scan the QR code using a third party app

Once configured, when the user logs into N-able N-central, they must enter their password, and then, using an authenticator smartphone app such as Google Authenticator, enter a time-sensitive code that displays on the app.
