Manage tags

Use tags to organize and manage assets by business purpose. This article explains how to add and remove tags, and how to view tags assigned to assets. For an overview of tagging, see Asset tagging (New).

Show tags assigned to an asset

  1. In the left navigation, go to Dashboards > Assets.

  2. Find the asset, then hover over the tag count to view all its assigned tags.

Assign tags to multiple assets

  1. In the left navigation, go to Dashboards > Assets.

  2. Select the checkboxes for the assets you want to tag.
  3. From the Actions dropdown list, select Manage Tags.

  4. Under Select Tags, search for the tags you want to assign.

  5. Select the checkboxes for the tags, then choose the arrow to move them under Tags assigned to selected devices.
  6. Select Apply to save the changes.

Assign tags to a single asset

  1. In the left navigation, go to Dashboards > Assets.

  2. Find the asset you want to tag.
  3. From the Actions dropdown list in that row, select Manage Tags.

  4. Under Select Tags, search for the tags you want to assign.
  5. Select the checkboxes for the tags, then choose the arrow to move the tags under Tags assigned to selected devices.
  6. Select Apply to save the changes.

    7. You can also Manage Tags from the Asset details overlay.

Remove tags

  1. In the left navigation, go to Dashboards > Assets.

  2. Select the checkboxes for the assets where you want to remove tags.
  3. From the Actions menu, select Manage Tags.
  4. Under Tags assigned to selected devices, select the checkboxes for the tags you want to remove.

  5. Choose the arrow to move the tags under Select Tags, then select Apply.
