How to disable video hardware acceleration on remote access with Take Control (N-able)

Description
- How to create a policy with disabled video hardware acceleration.
- How to improve slow connections with Take Control on remote devices with certain non-accelerated graphics adapters, these include:
- Hyper-V
- VMware VM
- Matrox G200eh
- ATI ES1000
- ATI RageXL
Environment
- N-sight RMM
- Take Control
Solution
- Perform these steps below. If they do not work it may be best to use the Take Control (TeamViewer) engine
- Login to the All Devices view.
- Go to Settings>Take Control>Policy
- Double click a relevant policy or create a new one.
- Select Performance
- Check Disable Video hardware Acceleration while in session.
- Select Save.
- Right click impacted device
- Select Edit workstation/Edit Server>Remote Access
- Setting:On >Engine: N-able >Policy: *choose previously defined policy*
- Press OK
- Right click the intended device and hit Run Checks.
