ERROR: takectrsxvp cannot find Take Control Viewer software

Description

• Take Control is unable to Launch Take Control Session
• Browser showing error during Connection: Extension takectrsxvp cannot find Take Control Viewer software

Environment

• N-sight RMM
• Take Control

Solution

• Disable any Ad blocking or privacy browser extensions for the All Devices view site
• Ensure Take Control Viewer (N-able) entry is present Under Control Panel > Program and Features
  • If Take Control Viewer entry is not present, download and install Take Control Viewer from All Devices view
  1. Login to the All Devices view.
  2. Click Remote Access.
  3. Click Download Take Control Viewer - N-able.
  4. Link is OS specific and will download Windows/macOS version based on current browser and operating system.
  5. Save downloaded file to a folder of your choice.
  6. Execute the downloaded file to install the Take Control Viewer.
• Ensure Local Use Account has permission to launch third party software
