ConnectWise® Automate™ Control Center Plugin - Installing and Updating

Passportal Plugin - ConnectWise Automate Solution Center (Suggested Method)

Installing or Updating the Passportal Plugin will cause the ConnectWise Automate Database Agent to immediately restart which will terminate any scripts that are currently running. Before installing the Plugin, please ensure that all scripts have completed.

You need Automate 10.5 or greater for Passportal to be present in the Solution Center.

If you are using ConnectWise Automate via cloud, please call ConnectWise and request they install it on your behalf.

  1. Launch the Solution Center.
  2. Navigate to Security Solutions and add Passportal to the installation queue.
  3. Install the Plugin
  4. Reload the ConnectWise Automate Control Center.
  5. To enable the plugin go to the taskbar and select Help > Plugin Manager > and enable Passportal Plugin.
  6. Restart ConnectWise Automate Database Agent.
  7. Restart ConnectWise Automate Control Center to finalize the plugin installation.

Passportal Plugin - Installation Utility (Alternate Method)

Installing or Updating the Passportal Plugin will cause the ConnectWise Automate Database Agent to immediately restart which will terminate any scripts that are currently running. Before installing the Plugin, please ensure that all scripts have completed.

  1. Perform a System Backup.
  2. Download the Passportal Plugin Installation Utility from:
  3. http://www.labtechsolutions.com/installers/PassportalPluginInstaller.exe

  4. Launch the Passportal Plugin Installer.
  5. The Installer can be run from anywhere as long as it can connect to the ConnectWise Automate Server over HTTP or HTTPS.

  6. Enter your ConnectWise Automate Credentials.
    • Enable HTTP Tunnel must be enabled on the User Account that you are using to login.
    • Super Admin permissions are required for Plugin Installation.
    • Server Address (must be either HTTP or HTTPS).
    • Username and Password (case sensitive).
  7. Install the Plugin. The ConnectWise Automate Database agent service will restart once the installation is complete.
  8. Exit the Installer
  9. Reload the ConnectWise Automate Control Center to finalize.
