Logging in to Passportal

We are excited to kick off 2023 with an important release for N-able Passportal: the implementation of the single sign-on (SSO) authentication for all our partners.

The first step in the process is that the log in page changed (for both Pro Users and Site Users) in March. During this first step, Log in with N-able (SSO) will work only for new organizations in Passportal created March 8th 2023 onwards.

If you have a pre-existing (pre-March 2023) N-able Passportal instance, choose the Log in with Passportal option upon logging into your Passportal app. You will then proceed to filling in your credentials and to your usual MFA verification until you have been migrated to the new N-able Login (SSO)

Please note that even if you are on SSO with other solutions from N-able, you will still have to choose the Log in with Passportal option until further notice.

SSO Migration

There will be a 60-day window to action the migration to N-able SSO. After this grace period, Passportal instances will be migrated to N-able SSO , with the following exception:

Organizations using DUO will remain on the Legacy Log-in Process - development of N-able SSO to support DUO is underway. Once DUO is supported, a further grace period to migrate will be opened.

Migration to N-able SSO can be manually started by following the directions in SSO Migration.

Organization Key: This is organization-wide, and is the encryption key for your stored passwords. N-able does not store the Organization Key anywhere in the system for security purposes, so it is vital that at least one member of your organization has stored this and is able to give it to users that forget. To reset the Organization Key means all passwords will become irretrievable and will need to be reset.
