Managed Detection and Response Resource Package

There are two options to deploy the Managed Detection and Response (MDR) agents and Virtual Collector, via the MDR console or, as we recommend, using our N-able_MDR.zip resource package.

The resource package contains:

• An amp script and documentation for installation via N-central and N-sight:

  • AMP: Adlumin installer.

  • PDF: N-able MDR N-Central deployment.

  • PDF: MDR N-sight Install deployment.

• An Azure PowerShell configuration script and guide:

  • PowerShell: Azure_Adlumin_Setup.

  • PDF: N-able MDR Entra ID Setup doc.

• The Windows Syslog collector MSI and Syslog document:

  • MSI: AdluminForwarderInstaller.

  • PDF: N-able MDR Syslog.

Microsoft regularly reviews and updates permissions and settings. To keep up with these changes, we frequently update the Azure script. We recommend regularly checking your permission sets and rerunning the script to apply the latest permissions to your Entra ID app for existing SKUs, and make sure that full Purview auditing is enabled for your MDR tenants.
