AV Status Report

Configure N-able N-central Dependencies prior to running any reports.

This report summarizes the state of antivirus solutions across a customer, including Endpoint Security status. The report data is gathered from the AV Status and AV Defender services. Use this report especially if your customers are not using the integrated Endpoint Security.

N-able N-central can only pass information to Report Manager from the information stored in your Windows Security Center. If the information about an application is not within the Windows Security Center, it will not appear in Report Manager's AV Status report. The exception to this is AV Defender, which will always be included in the AV Status Report.

This report is multi-customer enabled. To select multiple customers, press and hold down the Ctrl key, and then click each customer that you want to select.

The report contains two default sections:

  1. The AV Status Summary section, and includes three pie charts:
    • AV Solutions (including if no antivirus software was detected)
    • Update Status
    • Real-time AV Scanning
  1. The AV Status Details section contains a table that provides antivirus monitoring information, broken down by Device Class, Device Name, and AV Solution.

Optionally, you can include the AV Threat Counts table that provides the details of virus detections and actions, broken down by Device Class, Device Name, and AV Solution.

AV Solution Discrepancy
The AV Threat Counts table may display the AV Solution as "Unknown". This will happen because at the time a threat was found and logged, the N-able N-central reporting service had not yet added or returned data showing the AV Solution name. This will only typically happen for one reporting period on that device. As soon as the reporting service receives the data for the AV Solution name, it will be listed in the AV Threat Counts table for subsequent reporting periods.
