Software Inventory Report
Configure N-able N-central Dependencies prior to running any reports.
The Software Inventory Report displays a summary of the software assets discovered in a customer's network. The report can be filtered to present all discovered software, or identify devices with specified software packages.
Software assets are displayed in a matrix grouped by software name or by the device on which the software is installed. You can optionally include the information about license compliance for each application.
Use this report to help customers track software assets and identify the following details such as:
- Software name
- Version
- Vendor
- Number of detected installations
- Number of available licenses
This report is multi-customer enabled. To select multiple customers, press and hold down the Ctrl key, and then click each customer that you want to select.
This report allows you to include the following subsections:
- Inventory Grouped by Device, which displays devices and the software that is installed on them.
- Inventory Grouped by Software, which displays software and the devices on which it is installed.
You can optionally include the information about license compliance for each software asset.
If you would like to include license compliance information in the report, you must also have the License Compliance service set up in N-able N-central.
If you plan to sort data in the report, N-able recommends that you render the report to a CSV file and open it in an Excel spreadsheet.
