N-central Configuration Overview

N-able N-central servers configured to provide data for Report Manager reports are referred to as data sources. You can add and modify N-able N-central data sources, and you can collect data from the following PSA integrations within N-able N-central:

  • Autotask
  • ConnectWise Manage
  • Help Desk Manager

If the Report Manager server and the PSA servers are in different time zones, you will need to calculate the offset time between the servers.

If you want to re-run an ETL or delete a data source, you will need to make the capability visible using the advanced settings in the Administration Console.

You can configure more than one data source for Report Manager. The procedure for adding a subsequent data source is the same as adding a first data source.

You will need the Product Administrator username and password for the N-able N-central server you want to configure as a data source.

Each time you add a data source, you need to update the database maintenance plan if the maintenance plan for SQL Server includes only the databases.

For information on editing or deleting data sources, refer to the online help when you are working within Report Manager.

N-able N-central servers support only one data export type at a time. Setting up data export from the N-able N-central server to Report Manager automatically disables any other data export.
