About Ecoverse
Ecoverse brings endpoint management, cybersecurity, and data protection together in a unified workspace. From the left navigation, you can manage devices, view actionable security insights, and control policies across your managed environment.
What's included in Ecoverse
The Ecoverse left-navigation menu gives you access to dedicated functional workspaces:
Views
Manage devices and scripts from flexible interfaces.
- Assets view: View and manage a centralized, multi-tenant asset inventory. Search, sort, customize columns, and take asset actions directly from the view.
- Scripting view: Create, import, manage, and run scripts across endpoints from a cloud-based script repository.
Endpoint Remediation
Assess endpoint risks and manage remediation.
- Patch Management: View patch status and deploy operating system and third-party software updates across supported platforms.
- Vulnerability Management & Security Insights: View CVEs, exposure levels, and security posture metrics to identify and remediate endpoint risks.
Configuration
Apply standardized controls across your managed devices.
- Policies: Define rules and configurations once, then apply them across device fleets.
- Tag Management: Use static and dynamic tags to categorize devices, define scope, and target policies.
- Common Audit Log: Review platform events and user actions across your environment in a consolidated activity stream.
AI Management & Auditing
Configure AI features and review related activity.
- AI Settings (N-zo): Configure settings for embedded generative AI assistants
Ecoverse workspaces
Ecoverse workspaces use a common layout. Each workspace includes charts that summarize your data and a table that you can filter, sort, and search. You can also customize columns, save views, and export data. For more information, see Understand Ecoverse workspaces.
Prerequisites and access requirements
Before you access Ecoverse workspaces and features, make sure you meet these requirements:
- N-able Login (MSP SSO): Sign in with a user account that authenticates through N-able Login SSO.
- Modern Agent: Make sure the Modern Agent is installed on managed endpoints to support Ecoverse telemetry, scripting, and remediation workflows. See Modern Agent.
- Role Permissions: Enable the required Ecoverse permissions for your assigned role. The default Administrator and Technician roles include these permissions. For Custom roles, add the permissions manually.
- Analytics for on-premises N-central: Enable Analytics to store data in the cloud. Hosted N-central already has Analytics enabled.
For setup instructions, see Enable Ecoverse capabilities.
