Reboot an asset from Assets view

You can reboot an asset from the Assets view immediately or schedule a reboot with a message for the end-user.

If you don't have permission to reboot a device, the Reboot option is unavailable.

Reboot an asset from the Assets view

  1. Go to the Assets view.
  2. (Optional) Apply a custom filter.
  3. Select the asset and select Actions > Reboot.

  4. In the Reboot dialog, configure settings:
    • Reboot now without message: Select the checkbox to reboot immediately. Clear it to set a timer.
    • Reboot with message:
      • Enter a message (up to 250 characters).
      • Select a timer duration.A preview appears on the right.
  5. Select Reboot.

Reboot an asset from the Asset details overlay

  1. Go to the Assets view.
  2. (Optional) Apply a custom filter.
  3. Select the asset row, not a link in the row.
  4. In the Asset details overlay, select the Actions menu and then choose Reboot.

  5. In the Reboot dialog, configure settings:
    • Reboot now without message: Select the checkbox to reboot immediately. Clear it to set a timer.
    • Reboot with message:
      • Enter a message (up to 250 characters).
      • Select a timer duration. A preview appears on the right.
  6. Select Reboot.
