Using a two-step verification backup code

If a user has lost their mobile device, or accidentally removed the Authenticator app, they can log in to N-able N-central using the verification backup codes.

After originally signing in to N-able N-central, a list of ten backup codes was displayed. These should have been copied to a safe but accessible location.

During the login procedure, when prompted for the Authenticator six-digit code, copy and paste one of the backup codes and click Login.

Note that each code can only be used once. You can see the codes still available, or generate a new set of codes. For more information, see View and regenerate two-step verification backup codes.
