Export Filters
If you are managing multiple N-able N-central servers and need to standardize filters across them, or if you want to share customer filters with your colleagues, you can export these filters to a file. This file can then be imported into another N-able N-central server.
This approach reduces the administration overhead associated with manually recreating filters and decreases the potential for errors during creation.
- Expand Configuration in the left navigation pane.
- Click Filters.
- Click the check box next to the filters you want to export.
- Click Export at the top of the page.
You cannot export system default filters, marked by a grayed-out checkbox.
N-able N-central converts the filters to JSON files and bundled into single ZIP archive that downloads to your computer. For information on using the exported filters on another N-able N-central server, see Import filters.
Limitations
Certain filter parameters cannot be exported. Attempting to export filters with these parameters will result in a failure and trigger an error message.

- Monitoring → MSP N-central service is present (only for Custom Services)
- Monitoring → MSP N-central service in status (only for Custom Services)
