Manage device properties

Every managed device in N-able N-central has a set of configurable properties that you can modify.

1. Go to Views > All Devices.
2. Select the device name.
3. Select the Settings tab, then Properties.
4. Enter a device name.
5. Select a Device Class and Operating System.
6. Set the Network Address, if it is not already configured.
7. Select the License Mode.
8. Select the checkboxes to enable Scheduled Tasks, Direct Support and Take Control.
9. In the Credentials section, enter an administrator‑level user name and password used to sign in to the device. N-able N-central uses these credentials for some scheduled tasks that require device access.
   

   You may need to include the domain name, for example: domain\username.
   

10. Select Save.

The properties for the device are updated.
