Reset the System Change service baseline for a device

Re-define the baseline for a device for the System Change service.

The System Change service monitors the hardware components discovered on a Windows device. Once N-able N-central discovers these components, it creates a snapshot of this asset information and uses it as a baseline to monitor any changes that occur in the assets of the device. If something about the device has been modified, you can reset the baseline to update the service. For more information on the service see the System Change Service help topic.

This procedure can only be done at the Customer or Site level.

  1. Click ViewsAll Devices.
  2. In the Name column, click a Windows device.
  3. Click the Asset tab, then Configuration.
  4. Click the check box for Use current information as the new baseline.
  5. Click Save.

The current values are for the managed device will now be configured as the new baseline for the System Change service to use to monitor the device.
