Associate a probe to a notification

You can associate a probe to a notification to receive the monitoring status on the probe. Each probe can be associated to the same notification profile. You can also disassociate probes from notifications to prevent the monitoring status on the probe from being received by deselecting the notifications and clicking Save.

Only the default "Agent/Probe Failure Notification Profile" can be automatically associated with a Probe. For all other notifications targeting the Probe Status service, manual association with the probe is required. Please follow the steps below to complete the association process:

This procedure can only be done at the Customer or Site level.

1. Click Administration > Probes.
2. For the specific probe, click Manage under the Associated Notifications column.
3. Select the notifications from Available Notification Profile Triggers and move them to Selected Notification Profile Triggers.
4. Click Save.

The trigger and notification is set for the selected probes. When the trigger occurs on specifically on the selected probe, a notification message is set to the recipients.
