Add a text custom property for a customer

Create a text custom property to store customer or site-specific information, including location, owner, department, service tier, or other business-specific details for use in filters, rules, or reporting.

  1. In the left-hand navigation menu, select AdministrationCustom Properties.
  2. Click AddBy CustomersText Type.
  3. Enter a descriptive Property Name.
  4. Enter the Default Value to filter against.
  5. You can enter a default value, leave it blank, or use a placeholder like "Not defined" to spot properties that haven’t been updated.

  6. Select the Customers and Sites that the new choice list will apply to.
  7. Choose how the property should propagate to new Service Organizations, Customers, or Sites.
  8. Select Save.

The custom property is automatically applied to the selected customers and sites. If required, you can change the value of the property later for individual service organizations, customers, or sites.
