Add a password custom property for a customer

Create a password custom property to store sensitive or hidden values, including keys or credentials, for use by automation policies requiring a password or other workflows.

Password custom properties cannot be used in filters.

  1. In the left-hand navigation menu, go to Administration > Custom Properties.
  2. Click Add > By Customers > Password Type.
  3. Enter a descriptive Property Name.
  4. Enter the Default Password. You can change this value at the device level to override the default.

    5. The password is hidden when entered. Select Show Password to verify the value.

  5. Select the customers or sites the property should apply to.
  6. Choose how the property should propagate to new Service Organizations, Customers, or Sites
  7. Select Save.

The custom property is automatically applied to the selected customers and sites. If required, you can change the value of the property later for individual service organizations, customers, or sites.
