Improve Performance of Take Control in N-able N-central

Description

• This article explains how to improve the performance of Take Control when using the integration with N-able N-central.

Environment

• N-able N-central 10.2 or later
• Take Control (called Take Control in N-able N-central)

Solution

1. Log in to N-able N-central and select the device that is experiencing performance issues when connected throughTake Control.
2. Select Remote Control Settings >Take Control.
   
3. Go to the Performance Settings section and select the following options to increase performance when connected to the end user.

• You may want to select all 4 options, including Limit Image Capture. See Remote Control Settings for details.
  

4. Save your settings for these changes to take effect the next time you remote into the users device.

1. Go to Control Panel > All Control Panel Items>Programs and Features.
2. Click N-able N-central Anywhere Viewer and then click Uninstall / Change.
3. Once removed go back to the device and launch Take Control.
4. On the popup window, click Download the Take Control Viewer.
   
5. Once install is complete then click the Launch Take Control in the same window.
