Take Control Viewer (All Versions): Freezing or Taking a Long Time To Connect due To HP Velocity

Description
- When you connect to a device your Take Control Viewer Freezes.
- When you connect to a device the Take Control Viewer takes more than a minute to establish the connection.

- N-able Take Control/Take Control Plus (Standalone)
- N-able N-central
- Take Control
- N-sight RMM
- Take Control (N-able)
Solution
- If when try to connect to a device the Take Control Viewer simply freezes, or if it takes more than a minute to connect to a device, verify if HP Velocity is installed on the device (Tech's device).
- HP Velocity is known by negatively impacting other software.
- HP has ended support for HP Velocity and it is no longer being installed on HP systems or available for download from HP.
- HP recommends uninstalling HP Velocity from Microsoft Windows operating systems and disabling it in HP Thin Pro operating systems.
