Environment

Solution

If you wish to disable the Session Inactivity Timeout:

  1. Start a new Take Control Session
  2. On the top right corner of the Viewer click on the vertical ellipsis icon
  3. Hover over Session Inactivity Timeout
  4. Click on Disabled
  5. Click on Save Current Settings as Default

If you wish to enable the Session Inactivity Timeout:

  1. Start a new Take Control Session
  2. On the top right corner of the Viewer click on the vertical ellipsis icon
  3. Hover over Session Inactivity Timeout
  4. Select a desired timeout value from the list
  5. Click on Save Current Settings as Default

You can also configure the Session Inactivity Timeout feature from the Admin Area:

  1. From the left navigation menu, select Profile > Identification and click the Security tab.
  2. In the Session timeout section of the window, click Disconnect sessions if idle: and specify a time from the list.
  3. Click Save to confirm the update.

Settings that are defined from the Admin Area supersede any session timeout settings configured locally from the Viewer during a remote session.
