Installation Settings

The Web Protection Policy Installation Settings section governs the behavior of the Agent during deployment including the handling of existing products, the default interface language and the company information displayed in the agent and services.

By default, the Company Name and Product Name are branded as Web Protection and the other settings are blank, and they display that way in the About section of the Web Protection agent if unchanged.

The Web Protection icon itself is unbrandable and will always display the shield icon: web_protection_icon

When you configure the following settings, you generally use your own company details:

Agent Branding Settings

These settings are applied during the initial agent install. Any subsequent changes to the Company Name and Product Name settings are not applied to existing agents. However, in-place updates to the Company Website, Company Phone and Company Email are applied to the About dialog of existing Agents.

Company Name Displays as the manufacturer in the agent UI and in the associated Windows Services.
Product Name Displays as the product in the agent UI and enables you to market Web Protection under a name of your own. The Product name should not be the same as the Company Name.
Company Website Displays in the Technical Support section of the agent's About page.
Company Phone Displays the support contact phone number in the Technical Support section of the agent's About page.
Company Email Displays the support email address in the Technical Support section of the agent's About page.
