Checks

Web Bandwidth Check

As part of the Web Protection Policy, you can deploy a Web Protection Bandwidth Check to monitor website download traffic on the device. After you select the box to enable the check, you can enter the target threshold. The check fails if the bandwidth exceeds the configured threshold.

When the check is configured, the Web Protection Bandwidth Check displays in the South-pane Checks tab for the devices. The More Information column for the check displays the current Download total for that day and the configured threshold. Click this link to open the More Information dialog that charts the volume of data downloaded over the past 30 days and displays the Check Threshold.

You can select any point on the chart to display more detailed information.

Although the Web Protection Bandwidth Check is labeled as a 24x7 Check, it updates on an hourly basis in line with the Web Protection data upload schedule.

Check failure behavior

When the check fails, it stays in a failed state until you clear it manually. After you clear the check, it reports its status again during the next scheduled run. For more information, see Clear checks .
