Purge Font Cache
Script Type: Bash
macOS and applications cache fonts to reduce memory use and improve performance.
Common font cache issues include:
- Fonts fail to load
- Fonts appear corrupted or garbled (glyphs instead of text)
- Fonts do not activate or stau activated
- Applications that use the font cache load
The Purge Font Cache task deletes the font cache from both the local and user libraries, then restarts the font daemon.
Parameters
- Hide macOS notification when script is run: Run the task without notifying the user
