Purge Font Cache
Script Type: Bash
The Operating System and applications can cache fonts to use less memory and provide improved performance.
Indications of font cache issues can range from:
- Fonts failing to load
- Fonts load but appear corrupted or garbled (glyphs rather than fonts)
- Fonts do not activate or remain activated
- The application using the font cache may experience slowdowns when loading
The Purge Font Cache task deletes the font cache from both the local and user libraries, then restarts the font daemon.
