Purge Font Cache

Script Type: Bash

macOS and applications cache fonts to reduce memory use and improve performance.

Common font cache issues include:

• Fonts fail to load
• Fonts appear corrupted or garbled (glyphs instead of text)
• Fonts do not activate or stau activated
• Applications that use the font cache load

The Purge Font Cache task deletes the font cache from both the local and user libraries, then restarts the font daemon.
