Edit a Check on Multiple Devices

To edit a check on multiple servers and / or workstations from the N-sight RMM Dashboard, you are the following options:

The edit option returns all instances of the selected Check regardless of configuration in the Edit Multiple Checks dialog. For example, the Disk Space Check includes any Drive Letters or Thresholds.

We recommend you double-check your selection before you confirm to ensure only the devices you want to update are affected.

File Menu

1. From the Edit menu, select Edit Multiple Checks
2. Select Choose Check in the Edit Multiple Checks dialog
3. Select the Operating System and Check type
4. Choose the entities the Check will Apply to from the left menu and main window (server only)

   The main window displays the servers already running this type of check and the threshold, where applicable.

5. Select Edit Selected
6. Edit the check as required
7. Select Update Alert Settings to configure Alerting behavior (optional)
8. Select OK
9. Confirm the number of affected Checks, Client, Sites and Devices
10. Select OK to confirm and apply

Checks tab

1. Select a device in the North-pane
2. Go to Checks in the South-pane then select either
1. Edit Check click Multiple Devices
2. Edit Checks Like This
3. For a different Check in the Edit Multiple Checks dialog, select Choose Check and select the Operating System and Check type
4. Choose the entities the Check will Apply to

5. The main window displays the devices already running this type of check and the threshold, where applicable.

6. Select Edit Selected
7. Edit the check as required
8. Select Update Alert Settings to configure Alerting behavior (optional)
9. Select OK
10. Confirm the number of affected Checks, Client, Sites and Devices
11. Select OK to confirm and apply

Although individual servers may be selected, Checks are edited on all workstations at the selected Client and Site(s).

Checks appear in the South-pane Checks tab of the N-sight RMM Dashboard, with any newly edited Check indicated by the grayed out status from the last time the Check ran or until the Check runs with the updated settings. During this time the More Information dialog displays, Check has been edited and hasn't run on the device type.

These changes are displayed in the Pending Actions dialog whist awaiting synchronization with the Agent and can be reverted from there.
