Microsoft 365 Teams Service Billing

Backup history of the Teams service on the Preview version may be cleaned (deleted) when this feature goes on General Release.

Backup and Recovery of Microsoft 365's Teams service is currently free while the service is in it's beta phase.

Once the beta phase ends, Teams will be billable by the number of unique owners of Teams.
