Recover RHEL 6 and CentOS 6

RHEL 6 and CentOS 6 systems cannot be recovered using session-specific rescue images from the Restore tab. Only recovery using the Cove Rescue Media (downloaded from Cove Data Protection (Cove) Downloads) is supported.

The following is the standard recovery instructions with the following RHEL/CentOS 6-specific requirement:

1. Boot the target system from Cove Rescue Media.
2. At the GRUB menu, select Recover or Automatic Recover
3. Enter 'e' to edit boot options.
4. Enable vsyscall emulation by appending vsyscall=emulate to the kernel boot options.

   

5. Enter Ctrl+X or F10 to boot.
6. Proceed with the standard recovery process in Cove.
